Given yesterday’s announcement by Nikolaus Berlakovich, Minister for the Environment, that E10 will not be introduced in Austria for the time being, AGRANA would like to reiterate the fact that this step will not have any direct impact on the company’s current economic situation. AGRANA’s bioethanol plant at Pischelsdorf will continue to produce at full capacity, as it has done for many years, and export half of what it produces as before. From an environmental standpoint, this postponement means that greenhouse gas emissions produced by road traffic will not be reduced by 200,000 tonnes
